I find the best way to not hate drawing backgrounds is to love it. So sometimes I go to town on details people will probably never notice/see or stuff that will get obscured by dialogue later. In the digital age where I can reuse obstructed elements later it’s not really that big a problem.
Anyway, here’s some library shelves from a page I was working on the other day.
