Think my gf caught the flu. Poor girl has trouble staying hydrated as it is. Good thing she’s going to her mom’s. Moms kick flu butt
I’m awake but my brain doesn’t want to focus on the work I want to do. ARRGG…
Today’s interesting random link - In Praise of the Sci-fi Corridor http://bit.ly/2Xd1xU
Synchronizing iPod, going to listen to a podcast or two and go to sleep. Hopefully drawing in the morning. We’ll see
Been doing some sketches for a piece, not sure if you’d call it a concept or what. Just want to get a better handle on the character designs
Maybe I should try setting my ipod alarm in the morning again. Waking up to an annoying noise and turning it off isn’t working so much
I need to settle on some wake-up music to blast while I shower
So there’s a trailer for the remake of Nightmare on Elmstreet. I never watched the original series but it’s story is rather fascinating
What they should market is premium members get hi-fi and downloads. If you cripple the playability people won’t use it, sorry
Musicovery is a nice concept for web radio but they ruin it by only letting premium members skip to other songs
What I find interesting is the people who post on FB and twitter like they’re in a vacuum. They do realize we can see and comment, right?
http://twitpic.com/jdfdt - @tombrazelton I’d tweak the saturation or adjust the hue so the red background plays better with the yellow/t …
Very nicely done RT @cinemassacreBohemian Rhapsody Old School Computer Remix. This is dedicated to all fans of Queen. http://ow.ly/rhXp
Family - There’s no situation where you can feel crappy enough that they can’t make you feel a little worse
Facebook would be more useful if names/descriptions were realistic. “That one dude you sorta remember from algebra class, sat in the back”
Just as I’m slowly getting comfortable with IRC stuff I decide to look into Applescript again. Baby steps, man. Baby steps…
Man, there is no reason for me to be up this early. And yet here we are
Tinkering with applescript/IRC today. I really want to make equivalents on colloquy for snippets I’ve seen on mirc. Simple stuff first
Started watching Casablanca with my girlfriend this afternoon. Hopefully she and I can finish it together tonight or this weekend
Oh, hello Mr. Migraine Headache - back to play again, I see
I think I need to take my test rendering of toning and colors to a full cast picture with background to really decide where to go with it
Talking to my girlfriend, planning on watching the new AVGN, need to shower and figure things out for the day
It’s fascinating the difference a few minutes either way can make. People want things NOW NOW NOW when they fit into their routine
In college I used to watch for patterns in crowds. At specific times everybody would scramble at once and minutes later nothing
Maybe I just notice because I’m very punctual in nature. Like if I know a movie’s started I refuse to walk in late because I simply HATE it
Of course movies are their own thing for me where I have to see it entirely beginning to end or else I’m being lazy and I hate feeling lazy
There are times where I notice I’m using, say, apostrophe s properly, but the majority of people aren’t, so I change it. Why bother?
I’ll notice I’ll use the word “just” too much or start a sentence with “so” a lot and make a conscious effort to stop it
Another thing with me is language. When I recognize how often I use certain words I actively stop myself from using them so regularly
Like most people I have no problem with actually BEING lazy, I just don’t like feeling like I am and calling attention to it
Oddly enough, the moment I say “screw it” and go to do something else is when everybody and their mama needs me for something
You know when you call somebody RIGHT as they’re doing something else and they say they’ll call you back? MY WHOLE LIFE IS LIKE THAT ANYMORE
Ok, so I’m writing a tweet and (BUFFERING… BUFFERING…)
I like Lady Gaga about as much as any piece of pop these days but this rock remix of I Like It Rough is really … ♫ http://blip.fm/~dr7nv
I miss the punkified new wave sci-fi band The Epoxies. I should really look into Roxy Epoxy and the Rebound som… ♫ http://blip.fm/~dr6w4
Listen to this vocal and tell me you don’t hear any resemblance to Sinatra in there. Also probably my favorite … ♫ http://blip.fm/~drqlb
Shirley Manson is awesome, the video for this is pretty crazy, and it’s just a great song in general ♫ http://blip.fm/~drq3g
One of the more aggressive Bond themes but the horns/strings class it up. I think angry guitars play well with … ♫ http://blip.fm/~drpeu
I have no idea why I love this Rob Dougan track so much. It’s so simple, so dark, menacing in that classy sort … ♫ http://blip.fm/~dr7v6
Just got off the phone with my gf, trying to help her with computer issues. Man is stuff expensive in Canada
Hearing my girlfriend’s adorable little snore during her afternoon nap was definitely the cute highlight of my day :)
Ugh, dentist appointment tomorrow. They’re great people but who likes going to the dentist? Even if it’s all good it’s still ugh :-p
Anybody else get a little choked up when they watch this? http://bit.ly/AnGPK
Space age rockabilly, you say? The Phenomenauts - Infinite Frontier ♫ http://blip.fm/~dntpe
I actually like the mornings where I get out of bed early. For some reason going to bed after 3 AM you don’t see many of them
Egad. My ears are sensitive today and my mom’s on the phone upstairs spouting one of her crazy theories I just don’t agree with. Music UP…
Don’t get me wrong. I love my mom. But like a lot of people she’s looking for something to complain about because there’s no clear bad guy
Cautiously feeling optimistic about toning in Photoshop after playing with some decent patterns. Nice mix of hatching and benday dotted gray
Looking over printers and book sizing. Yes I know they will print whatever size you pay them for but why pay extra for a nonstandard size?
Hmm… shading AND toning adds some good dimension. But just sticking to grays would be easier than keeping patterns straight
